I've
divided this site into three areas. The "Introduction" contains an essay
of mine on American literary and border studies, and an essay by Oscar
Martinez about life along the Texas/Mexican border. The second section
contains a fairly comprehensive and wide- ranging bibliography of books
and essays related to border studies. The third section, "Electronic Resources,"
contains links to web sites connected in various ways to border studies.
I have tried to limit these links to sites that have content, as opposed
to pages that simply bundle together links to other sites. Please
keep in mind that this site is in the initial stages of construction, and
that it is far from comprehensive.
