Loyola Information Technology Service is phasing out e-mail services on Orion and is asking all users to us GroupWise as their primary E-mail system. We are asking all users to reroute their e-mail to GroupWise using PAM following the instructions at http://www.luc.edu/its/pam_reroute.shtml
On Friday, March 9th, 2007, all email sent to orion.it.luc.edu will be redirected through the luc.edu email routing tables. Any entries in the email routing table that direct email to orion will be switched to GroupWise. Orion users will be able to continue to send email out and read old email on Orion but all future email will no longer arrive at the Orion system.
On Friday, March 23th, 2007, POP3 services will be discontinued on Orion. Users are encouraged to download all old email stored on the Orion system before that date.
